“Fashion & Luxury Law & Business” by Tailored is an educational seminar “tailor-made” for the fashion and luxury industry, which is created as a response to the rapid growth of this industry in Greece, to address the ever-increasing needs, the vision and the innovative ideas of those working in this demanding market.

Luca Calvani, Actor – Creative Director

Luca is an all-round creative man, he writes, does brand consulting and is a perfume enthusiast – his Inspiritu fragrance line is distributed in the United States. Born in Tuscany, Luca moved to New York to work in the textile business but falls in love with acting.
The numerous international productions to which he participated include “To Rome with Love”, “The International” and “The Bold and the Beautiful”. Soon after Hollywood calls and Luca is chosen to star as a villain in Guy Ritchie’s highly stylized “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” with Alicia Vikander and Armie Hammer. Among his upcoming projects is “The Durrells in Corfù”.


Marina Vasilara, Global Communication Director APIVITA (Member of Puig Group)

Marina is the head of APIVITA’s e-business department since 2011, responsible for the development and oversight of many different company sites, 6 of which are online e- shops. In 2018 she became Global Communication Director at APIVITA and now leads the development and implementation of e-commerce, digital communication, social media and PR.

Ida Palombella – Head of IP & Technology at Deloitte Legal Italy | Fashion law specialist

Ida joined Deloitte Legal in 2018 heading IP and Technology practice in Milan. She has broad experience in assisting clients with intellectual property, information technology and data protection-related matters. Ida advises on internet rights and e-commerce, advertising and media with particular reference to the audiovisual market and social media issues. She is also actively involved with the Italian Fashion Chamber (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) and a member of its IP Commission and Influencer Marketing Commission (the only private practitioner among in-house counsels of the top Italian fashion brands).

Alexandra is a Senior Associate at the law firm Zoulovits-Kontogeorgou, with her main areas of business being e-commerce and personal data protection, intellectual property, commercial law and fashion law.
She is the founder of the organization “Tailored: Law & Business in the Fashion & Luxury Industry”. She co-organized the 1st, 2nd and 3rd PanHellenic Fashion Law and Business Conference under the name “Fashioning the Law: Design – Protect – Trade – Mediate” and she has published articles on law in the field of fashion and luxury.

Mina Zoulovits, Lawyer L.L.M, Partner Zoulovits – Kontogeorgou Law Firm, Digital Transformation & Privacy Legal Expert, Member of Multistakeholder Expert Group, responsible for monitoring GDPR implementation (E-Commerce Europe Team).

Mina is partner lawyer at the Zoulovits-Kontogeorgou Law Firm, specialized in Electronic Transaction Law and Personal Data Protection Policy. She has been specialized in data protection for over 15 years, providing consulting services that include both compliance assessments, decision-making strategy, implementation of procedures, drafting of important legal texts and legal handling of data breach. Additionally, she represents clients in hearings before the Personal Data Protection Authority.


Evangelos Margaritis, Lawyer, Postdoctoral Researcher at Athens Law School, CIPP/E.

Dr. Evangelos Margaritis is a lawyer at ATHEX Listed Real Estate Development Company and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Athens Law School. He has international certification in CIPP / E law and deals with Property Law and Commercial Distribution Contracts. He is the author of 2 legal monographs, has participated in collective authoring works and has produced more than 50 legal publications.

Μαργαρίτα Βαρλά

Margarita Varla – 3D Artist | Architectural Visualization & Interior Design.

Margarita is a 3D Artist specialized in Architectural Photorealism (ArchViz) and works at the “Pieris Architects” Architectural Office.
She is a graduate of the University of West Attica in the Department of Interior Architecture.
Her love for Architectural Visualization culminated when she worked at Fat Tony Studio and ever since she’s been fascinated in every way an idea can be captured in an image.
Margarita believes that a person is multi-faceted and is not only defined by one thing, as long as he does what he loves, that’s why, when she is not in front of the computer, she is out in the park training dogs.


Vasilis Karkatzounis, IT Lawyer | CIPP/E.

Vasilis is a lawyer in Athens, specialized in legal issues in New Technologies. He owns LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London, he is internationally accredited in the law of personal data protection (CIPP / E), a consultant to the Telematics Committee of the Athens Bar Association and a member of the Standing Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Justice concerning the impact of artificial intelligence on the judicial system. He has broad experience in IT projects, dealing with complex issues of cyber security, data protection and intellectual property.


Konstadinos Logaras – Lawyer LL.M. – Intellectual Property Law.

Constantine is an experienced lawyer in intellectual property and commercial law. He represents well-known fashion houses in dozens of cases and protects their rights before the Greek courts. He advises startups on the full spectrum of intellectual property rights and new technologies, while writing and delivering training seminars on the legal aspects of Block chain technology.


Sara Balice – Senior Associate, LL.M. (CEIPI, Strasbourg) Herbert Smith Freehills

Sara is an Italian lawyer specialised in IP law and advises a range of clients on their contentious and non-contentious IP needs. Sara started her career at Bird&Bird before moving to DLA Piper, then Herbert Smith Freehills. She has gained significant experience of assisting local and international clients in relation to trade marks, designs, unfair competition, patents, copyright and the protection of trade secrets. Sara assists clients with the general management of their IP portfolios in day to day business and with special projects and contentious cases.
She is co-author of “Fashion Law”, a volume on the legal aspect of the fashion industry edited by Giuffré Editore. Sara has been ranked as “Next Generation Lawyer” by Legal 500 and was awarded Upcoming Lawyer of the Year 2018 by Legal Community.

1. Fashion & Luxury Tech:

This panel will address on the challenges for the industry in having to invest in new technology to digitalise their business processes and introduce new technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analysis and omnichannel e-commerce. In this context, the industry also revises its goals and core structures, while taking advantage of the opportunities arising from the growth of social media, developing new and authentic ways to communicate with its clients and making use of all available channels of communication.

A brand is not just a name or the logo of a product. It is the vision that drives the creation of products.
This panel will highlight the importance of brand management in the Fashion and Luxury Industry as a key factor to drive consumers from brand awareness, to brand preference and brand insistence.
This session will address inter alia the following:

This panel will focus on the challenges faced by the designers in the fashion and luxury industry, as well as the compelling need to protect creations from copycats. The presentations will highlight the importance of the registration (where possible) and surveillance of intellectual property rights, the tools available to rightsholders for their fight against counterfeiting.
